POSITION PURPOSE: Set up, operate, and control all equipment systems that are required to produce good pasta. This includes ingredient blending, flour tanker unloading, process water temperature control, cooling water controls, vacuum and boiler systems gauge and thermometer readings, dryer temperature and Humidity controls, and delivery of the pasta to the designated destination. Control of the equipment within parameters requiring a minimum hourly check of all major indices, including gauges, moisture content readings, drying controls and computer trend data systems, all with the aim of reacting to the data in a correct direction. Management of the WIP receiving system including selecting bin destinations and predicting bin availability, up to and including emptying pasta bins.

Experience: 1 year relevant manufacturing experience. Food manufacturing experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, sit, bend, reach, climb stairs and ship’s ladders. The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may (depending on the area assigned) be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat to temperature arrange of 0-110 degrees Fahrenheit, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate; decibel level of up to 95-100.
