Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, receiving for inventory stock of all machine parts and plant operating supplies and services. This role has day to day accountability for the storeroom management of systems and area, as well as providing back up support for the planning role within the maintenance department. This role is also responsible to ensure the MP2 material master is built accurately and maintained. 

Position Responsibilities: This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the plant in an operational and functioning status, by ensuring various parts are readily available.  The Store Room holds various types of inventory (parts, PPE’s, cleaning supplies, etc.).  Parts include gears, motors, brackets, etc.  MP2 (CMMS) is used for inventory monitoring and purchasing data base.  This role is responsible for receiving all Store Room items and ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining Max/Min. quantities.   On average, 20-30 parts are ordered per day, and 2000 new parts per year.  New parts have additional complexity, as they must be set up in MP2 prior to order placement using the department procedures.

• Adherence to all health, safety, environmental, food safety, and quality standards, and notification of supervision of any unsafe conditions

• Acts as the customer service representative for the storeroom and plant personnel. Ensures individuals’ needs are met when entering the storeroom either by helping them find the parts, coaching on how to use established systems and processes.  i.e. proper way to check out parts, find parts, use the kitting process, 5S obligations, following the ordering process i.e. directing them to the plant buyer for stock or non-stock needs to be ordered.   (20%)
• Maintain, control, and audit storeroom activities and inventories on a regular basis using the ABC rule of inventory management and cycle count expectations. Receive and stock in correct bin, reviewing label for accuracy and condition (20%)
• Coordinates and works with planner and scheduler to ensure that kitting of parts and workorders are in line with the planning activities and maintenance needs.  Works with vendors on VMI needs and stocking (20%)
• Receive shipments daily, unpack and match received items with purchase requests / orders and ensure compliance with accounting, SOX auditing procedures and requirements.  Review, correct and reconcile invoice and PO discrepancies sent by vendor and/or accounts payable. Follow up with vendors, plant buyer, accounts payable or requisitioners as required. (20%)
• Drop off and pick up parts when necessary using the company vehicle.  Participate in Maintenance initiatives or plant PIT process.  Attend monthly corporate and plant conference calls. Assist maintenance supervisors, maintenance manager as required. (20%)

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 3-5 Years of Experience with Maintenance/ Plant purchasing.
• Knowledge of MP2 CMMS.
• Accounting background – Good math and computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player must have the ability to work with a diverse group
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
