Job Description:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITYES:

1, Ensure execution to Master Cleaning Schedule.

2. Create/Update Master Cleaning Schedule as needed.

3. Oversee the sanitation crew. Maintain and ensure the safety of all employees through proper training, enforcement of safety rules, and following proper procedures and knowledge of safety compliance.

4. Ensure on-time start-ups of production lines: making sure all departments and lines are cleaned and sanitized in a timely fashion.

5. Maintain/write cleaning instructions for plant and equipment.

6. Ensure and maintain proper use of only approved cleaning chemicals.

7. Manage miscellaneous tasks as assigned by production, engineering or quality assurance.

8. Ensure sanitation crew adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

9. Participate in Monthly Food Safety Inspections and ensure corrective actions to all sanitation deficiencies noted.

10. Maintain adequate crew to successfully implement the plan and execute the sanitation tasks.

11. Lead plants allergen control monitoring program.

12. Perform food safety audits.

13. Perform sanitation audits as it relates to allergen and food safety.

14. Manage sanitation training programs.

15. Ensure constant communication with all levels of management regarding sanitation issues.

16. Promote and maintain teamwork among employees.

17. Originate, plan, and implement cost savings projects.

18. Act as a liaison with chemical and pest control vendors.

19. Implementation of new sanitation procedures.

20. Adherence to yearly departmental budget and daily monitoring of sanitation labor costs.

21. Oversee pest control program at the manufacturing plant and the contracted warehouse.

22. Conduct/support sanitation equipment validations.

23. Conduct investigations and provide corrective action for EMPC, environmental monitoring pathogen control, and sanitation effectiveness swab failures in conjunction with the QA supervisor.
