SUMMARY: Responsible for improving the productivity of the organization’s employees through the deployment of effective training initiatives and programs. Plans, develops and implements strategy for training and development, establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of training and development programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
 Assessment of training needs in consultation with department supervisors and creation and execution of learning solutions
 Develop a detailed training curriculum with a testing and certification procedure for various departments of the company
 Design and develop, engaging training programs which provide content necessary to meet training needs of the organization.
 Review training program evaluations and conduct program effectiveness assessment
 Collaborate with functional areas across the organization to increase information sharing, performance support and training delivery skills
 Coordinate with other functional/departmental managers so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of training and development, and to ensure they are fully informed of staff training and development objectives, purposes and achievements
 Determine the extent TWI (Training Within Industry) concepts will be incorporated in the overall training and development strategy and ensure execution of such
 Oversees Standard Work and Training Checklist development
 Manage and control expenditures within agreed budgets
 Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary staff training and development theory and methods and provide interpretation to supervisors and managers within the organization
 Plan and deliver training courses personally on-site or utilizing CBT
 Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training
 Ensure all training activities and materials meet with relevant organizational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws
 Develop self and maintain knowledge in relevant field at all times

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, and minimum of five years of manufacturing related experience with 2-3 years of training delivery required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions using good written and verbal communication skills. Has the ability to effectively present information to various departments and employees.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 Requires sitting, bending, climbing stairs, extensive standing and walking the manufacturing facility
 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
 Must be willing to work necessary hours to fulfill the needs of the job

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
 50% – Office setting
 50% – Manufacturing Floor
