Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process shipping paperwork and documentation accurately and timely
  • Maintains picking and loading schedule to ensure all orders are picked and shipped in a timely manner
  • Coordinate truck movement to and from dock with yard driver
  • Maintain driver pickup records to ensure on-time departure
  • Process in-bound receipts
  • Monitors inventory to ensure product is available to ship for the day’s shipments
  • Tracks pallet slips and CHEP pallets to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Place/remove product from hold status in QAD as directed by supervisor or Quality
  • Runs report to monitor any picking discrepancies in reference to FIFO
  • Verifies sku and quantity of product in locations
  • Completes the status report of finished goods from production and loads to be picked and shipped
  • Back-up Scheduler for customer pickups and daily appointments
  • Respond to customer service questions and requirements on a needed basis
  • Employee must perform any other duties required or assigned as needed by supervisor
  • Ensures all raw ingredients, packaging and bulk receiving is completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the shipment of all finished goods. 
  • Responsible for 13 associates in the warehouse.
  • Ensures all storage trailers are physically verified as to location, contents and proper storage temperature while giving the yard driver specific direction for the movement of all trailers.

This position is very demanding and requires the ability to make decisions, balance workload, communicate effectively, and work both independently and with others.  The potential candidate needs to be a quick learner who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong logic skills and the ability to work with numbers and make decisions

Experience

  • Previous warehouse and distribution experience required
  • Previous computer and inventory control skills required

Licenses, Certificates Or Registration

  • n/a

Special Knowledge, Abilities, Skills

  • Must be computer literate and comfortable working on the phone and with computers
  • Must be able to organize people and workload
  • Previous SAP skills preferred
