Principle Duties and Responsibilities


Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to read and understand MSDS sheets for all cleaning chemicals. Must be able to obtain a chemical safety training certification. Responsible for plant sanitation and upkeep to cleanliness standards and must be able to follow all GMP guidelines for food industry. Must understand and follow all OSHA (safety) guidelines. Must be able to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, sit, stand, and walk frequently. Must work safely at all times. Must have or be able to obtain a CO2 (dry ice certification). Must be able to obtain fork-lift and aerial lift certification. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work at various heights as needed. Must be able to come in to work when sanitation is required (may not fall within regular shift timelines). Maintains a clean work environment. Must learn to operate: dough dollies, floor scrubbers, floor buffer, steam genie, and power sprayers. Must be able to complete book and paperwork. Understands and complies with the handling of chemicals. Must be self motivated and understand and follow work orders. Notifies Maintenance, Group Manager and/or your Team Leader of any repairs or adjustments that are required. Understands, observes, and complies with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy. Performs all duties necessary to meet Government and Regulatory, SQF Institute, Co-Manufacturers and Company requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company. Informs Line Manager, Group Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements. Must be able to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system. Identifies and records any problems relating to food safety and the quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety and quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential

Possesses a thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP’s and safety policies. Effectively communicates with others. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in weight above shoulder level. Possesses the ability to read, write, and comprehend English. Possesses the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
