Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and inspect molding line for safety and operational readiness prior to start up. Inspect all equipment connected with line to ensure proper operation such as temperatures, tempering units, Nielsens, pipelines, depositors, tunnels, cupper, and shaker. Check schedule board to ensure proper candy is being processed. Pumps tempered chocolate, coating and center material through depositor to help cool down machine. Sets depositor to proper specification so that weights and distribution of center are correct. . Reports any operational problems affecting production, quality or safety to the supervisor. Continually monitors line to ensure everything is in operation according to the specifications, checks weights, gloss, and general appearance of product continually throughout the day and corrects problems if necessary. Must be able to operate all of the cup lines and change them over from one item to another and make minor mechanical adjustments. Must keep cupper full at all times. . Perform any other duties as may be required by the supervisor to as to effect a safe, clean, efficient operation of this job function. Must follow all safety rules and guidelines while operating this equipment. Must meet established plant attendance guidelines & arrive at meeting and appointments on time.

Education and / or Experience:

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate with co-workers, and all production personnel.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Must know how to figure out percentages. This will enable the operator to know how much center vs. chocolate.

Reasoning Ability:     Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with different variables.

Lift: Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Proper lifting techniques must be observed when lifting.
