Job Description:


  • Provides direction, expertise, work execution decisions and compliance reviews for all maintenance work
  • Provides specific recommendations for maintenance plan improvements based on asset performance, observations and data analysis 
  • Ensures all work plans, specifications, labor, and materials are accurately and consistently recorded against specified assets in CMMS
  • Drives the development and implementation of maintenance improvement processes aimed at improving overall equipment availability and reliability
  • Actively monitors on-going equipment performance, condition and reliability data for deviation from optimal parameters
  • Supports, coaches, mentors and develops plant technical team members
  • Actively looks to identify and eliminate / mitigate root causes of equipment failures
  • Works seamlessly with operational counterparts to ensure that key performance indicators related to production performance are positively impacted


  • Monitor production line operations and proactively adjust maintenance support to uphold peak performance of assets
  • Represent Maintenance and own key follow-ups that result from daily/weekly plant performance meetings
  • Facilitates development of the weekly maintenance schedule in conjunction with appropriate maintenance, operations, sanitation, and engineering personnel
  • Responsible for consistency of format for all job plans and work lists
  • Manages the Preventive Maintenance program daily
  • Ensures that new equipment information, parts, PM’s, etc., are properly captured in CMMS prior to start-up
  • Ensures correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans
  • Works with Reliability Leader and Storeroom to ensure that spares are stocked at appropriate levels

Knowledge / Skills

Strong leadership skillsSelf-starter with the ability to prioritize, organize, and simplifyExcellent knowledge of Reliability fundamentals; i.e. – Criticality, Centerlines, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Maintenance Planning, Downtime Analysis, etc.Excellent understanding of precision, preventive, and predictive maintenance processesWorking knowledge of technical condition-based monitoring tools, techniques & technologiesProficient in CMMS maintenance systems; preferably SAPWorking knowledge of MRO inventory management and procurement processesAbility to challenge the status quo and work effectively with a wide array of plant personnelStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate strong decision-making skillsProficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPointProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPLC knowledge; preferredBasic understanding of LEAN methodologies; preferred
