TreeHouse Foods operates a global supply chain that produces, distributes and sells products across a complex network of company owned facilities, third party logistics partners, co-packers, co-manufacturers and suppliers to support $6.3B in revenue. The TreeHouse Supply Chain Network operates over 40 manufacturing facilities and 100 distribution locations across the United States, Canada and Italy. Those manufacturing facilities go on to service more than 900 customers in North America, including over 50 of the 75 largest non-convenience food retailers.

The Director of Project Management will play a critical role in advancing the capability and effectiveness of the total TreeHouse supply chain to meet the organization’s growth and productivity targets. This person will be integral in the design, development and implementation of the Project Management Office supporting TreeHouse Supply Chain Network Operations. Success will require forging a partnership with Division Leadership, General Managers, and Sales to establish project and program methodologies that meet customer objectives, while creating value for all parties. Successful execution of the “network of the future” will allows TreeHouse to “be the supply chain our customers can’t and won’t live without.”

Position Responsibilities:

By fulfilling the main mission of this role, you will contribute to TreeHouse Foods’ enterprise strategy by delivering shareholder value through commercial and operational excellence.

  • Provide management for approved Supply Chain projects
  • Work with Senior Director to conceptualize, model and communicate common Enterprise Program Management processes
  • Champion the project management process to onboard new projects, plan resources and drive those projects to execution
  • Develop the programs and projects leading to the improvement of Supply Chain/Warehouse E-Commerce capabilities that support our direct-to-consumer strategy
  • Facilitate communications at the management level about issues, performance and recommendations
  • Design the project status reporting and milestones structure that tracks progress on overall projects using project management tools
  • Apply lean manufacturing, warehousing & distribution process improvement strategies
  • Actively participate in the annual forecasting and budgeting process
  • Leverage technology (IT) to streamline operations

Skills, Experience and Education:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Experience in integrated logistics, manufacturing or a network design related field
  • Solid understanding of best practices in project lifecycle methodology and project management office principles
  • Experience supporting complex SKU structure and multi-plant environments preferred
  • Exceptional understanding of supply chain impacts on an organization’s “Order to Cash” pipeline
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills; 5 years direct supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership qualities
    • Ability to build teams and influence at all levels of the organization
    • Can act as a mentor/coach and provide opportunities for team members to learn and grow personally and professionally
    • Strong facilitation skills
  • Experience translating business requests into discrete efforts requiring specific technical, functional, and/or operational evaluation
  • Experience synthesizing the technical and financial analysis results into appropriate business cases and recommendations
  • General business background with strong analytical, financial and facilitation skills
  • Strategic thinking and emotional intelligence
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficiency in Windows PC environment; experience with Supply Chain Modeling Systems a plus

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Required –  MBA preferred

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations or procurement leadership at a manufacturing company
    • 3-5 years of experience in CPG
    • 3-5 years leading program management organizations
  • Experience in the analysis of strategic supply chain networks

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel (approximately 30% to 50%)
