Job Description:

The Finite Scheduler supports the Supply Chain and Operations groups, ensuring that service level expectations are achieved while creating the most efficient production schedule possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Create and maintain a sequenced production schedule based upon the demand needs of our customers and with consideration for Plant capabilities.
  • Review and react to open order shortages daily. Create, maintain, and disposition the Sales Order Adjustment tracker.
  • Work with Materials Management to insure that schedules are supported by components.
  • Daily communication with production personnel regarding schedule and any potential changes needed.
  • Communicate effectively with local management staff, CSR’s, Sales, Marketing and Purchasing as necessary regarding new formula scheduling, transitional formula items, product availability, product conversions, production needs / changes, etc.
  • Coordinate with Category Planners and Materials Management to manage through product transitions such that long / distressed stock is limited and customer expectations are satisfied.
  • Work with production and QA to process any rework needed.
  • Create and maintain Kanban triggers and Kanban quantities on an on-going basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ applicable experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of MS-Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience with ERP / MRP systems preferred.
