Job Description:

Located at our Headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois, this strategic HR role will provide human resources support across three Divisions (Beverages, Meal Solutions, Baked Goods) which generate over $4 billion in annual revenue.  This role will also provide support to other Corporate functions.  This role will deploy HR strategies to attract, manager, develop, and retain key talent, support employee relations initiatives, new hire orientation, assist in training and development, and the coordination of HQ wide HR activities.

This role will report to the Director, HR.  This is a high-visibility role as the position interacts with multiple levels of the organization including senior leaders.

The ideal candidate will have spent time in both a manufacturing environment as well as corporate, possess excellent communication skills, have a passion for continuous improvement to enhance TreeHouse HR processes, and have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple priorities. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive performance management system to ensure annual employee job assessments are conducted. This includes annual goal setting, assessment process and periodic feedback sessions that strive to raise the performance bar in the organization.  
  • Promote positive employee relations and drive a culture of employee engagement.
  • Support the full-life cycle of HR processes including orientation, on-boarding, and people development.
  • Support annual HR processes across the function.
  • Ensure the business complies with country legal requirements in all areas of employment.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships and provide day to day business HR partnership.
  • Assist in Human Resource programs within the assigned functions, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, retention, termination, turnover, and severance issues. 
  • Facilitates, in partnership with staffing organization and the business partners, recruitment pipeline for current openings, candidate selection, and future talent needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Skills, Experience and Education:

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (List all required):

  • Experience with employment sourcing, communications, and human relations
  • Experience with benefits and compensation administration
  • Experience supporting company-wide initiatives
  • Effective and deliberate communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS
  • Ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
  • Highly motivated, energetic, hands-on


 Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Human Resources or related field

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):

Three to five years of progressive human resources experience.  Plant operations experience preferred.

Proven leadership, independence of thought / action, and the ability to analyze complex problems from multiple perspectives will be critical to the success of the selected candidate.  Strong background and abilities in key HR capability areas: business mindset and insight, credible influence, and situational agility and judgment.

The capacity and desire to partner closely with functional senior leaders as well as corporate management is critical.  Must be able to manage multiple priorities, produce excellent work results, and follow through on commitments.  A sense of urgency is required.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel to other corporate offices, plants, business meetings, and conferences.
