Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to Human Resources staff.  Processes and coordinates various paperwork. Gathers information and prepares reports. Maintains and distributes current employee information and other communications.  Works in a Front Desk environment providing assistance to manufacturing employees, vendors, and visitors.

Position Responsibilities:                                                                                                                     

Maintaining HR files Monitor time usage, i.e. vacation, sick leave, accidents, attendance, etc. investigate problems Issuing and maintain security badges Assist employees with benefits questions i.e. medical/dental, life insurance, 401K, etc. Work closely with payroll in researching payroll issues entry of pay changes, adjustments, terminations, employment verifications, County Child Support paperwork, pay histories and update Kronos as needed Process Workday (HRIS) activities Perform activities related to uniform administration and locker administration Track Attendance and record intermittent FMLA hours and elevate issues as necessary Facilitate Employee Events Create ad hoc and scheduled reports related to active employees, employees on leave, payroll reporting, etc.  Perform department and Plant administrative functions. Manage Hourly Payroll Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

EDUCATION:   HR Certificate or relatable/equitable experience


  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in a Human Resources Department
  • 2-3 years payroll experience preferably with Kronos

    Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of employment law (EEO, ADAAA, FMLA, MMLA, etc.)
  • Workday or similar HRIS knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, etc.) required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to organize and follow through on projects and jobs
  • Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks, and ability to successfully work with all levels of internal customers.
