Primary function:

To manage safe, quality work flow of production line

In the event of absence, this position will be covered from the pool of trained, qualified backups

Areas of Responsibility:

Role model and educate team members on The TreeHouse Way (Own It, Commit to Excellence, Be Agile, Speak Up, and Better Together) Ensure safe work environment for the team. Immediately correct or escalate any safety issues or hazards. Assist with investigation of any safety incidents Maintain food-safety, area housekeeping and hygiene, and product quality. Escalate or remediate any food safety or quality concerns or risks. Enters run information into CDC system and assigns downtime reasons throughout shift Determines placement of employees on line and assures that proper rotation takes place throughout shift Documents run product code, number of employees per run, run time, downtime reasons, and case count on daily production form and turns in to appropriate personnel.   Assist with equipment changeovers Leads and participates in TMOS meetings (shift huddle, line review meeting, associate hand-off) Verifies employee timecard activity for accuracy Coaches, develops, and trains hourly team members Follows escalation process, including immediately informing maintenance of any breakdowns or adjustments requiring maintenance assistance Inspects work area prior to the start of the shift to ensure area has been properly cleaned and is set up properly for first run to include jar size, spice, raw material, brine, and caps.    Assists Supervisor in monitoring employee performance and directing employees on proper sorting standards and fill weights Immediately notifies Supervisor of any deviations from safety, quality, or performance standards Monitors and ensures employee conformance with safety requirements and GMPs

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Ability to supervise up to 48 people on one production line

None required. 2-year or vocational degree preferred


Previous front-line leadership experience helpful

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Accepts and is able to handle unanticipated work and problems
  • Possess basic food processing knowledge, including familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Be accurate, precise and attentive to detail
  • Good communication (verbally and written), problem solving and organizational skills
  • Computer data entry skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Physical Demands:

Standing 100%, Use of both hands 100%, some lifting and bending required

Working Environment:

Factory setting requiring the use of PPE
