Job Description:

Check schedule for product being produced and line for which you are responsible.

Properly operate (HMI) controls screen, which includes insuring the appropriate program is loaded for the production item that will be running.

Evaluate cookie sizes to insure that the product meets the diameter and thickness specifications.

Notify oven operator of any cookies not meeting the specifications.

Adjust the machine speed to the current wirecut rate.

Start and stop the machine to clear up jams. This may include rejecting the product at the slide align entrance or at the flipper reject.

Inspect cookies at the entrance to the Traypacker in order to maintain proper flow through the slide align.  This includes watching for and/or removing doubles or bad product.

Ensure that photo-eyes are set correctly and properly maintained.

Inspect cookies on the Traypacker in feed table. This includes checking for products that are too large to flow through the guides.

Maintain proper amount of backup cookies at Rotodex #1 in order to keep proper flow of cookies into the indexing and collating and loading device.

 Monitor tray denesters to insure that they have sufficient amount of trays in order to keep production running continuously.

Properly place trays in tray denesters for correct flow and to prevent jams.

Relieve team members as needed.

Coordinate and execute changeovers in an efficient and accurate manner.

Understand and comply with the allergen policy.

Assist with the training of team members.

Properly fill out and initial all production documents associated with our area of responsibility.

Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.

Understand the scrap and regrind procedures and assist in the removal of line waste.

Maintain a clean work area and execute any duties assigned on the housekeeping check off sheets.

Notify maintenance and or your Team Leader of any repairs or adjustments that are required. 

Follow and promote all safety policies.

Assist in the rework of all salvageable products when necessary to include picking scrap off and putting in reusable containers.

Perform all duties necessary to meet Safe Quality Food (SQF), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the Company.

Responsible for reporting food safety and quality problems to the appropriate personnel, as well as follow quality and safety programs and policies themselves in order to ensure products made here meets the highest standards possible.
