TreeHouse Foods operates a global supply chain that produces, distributes and sells products across a complex network of company owned facilities, third party logistics partners, co-packers, co-manufacturers and suppliers to support $6.3B in revenue. The TreeHouse Supply Chain Network operates over 40 manufacturing facilities and 100 distribution locations across the United States, Canada and Italy. Those manufacturing facilities go on to service more than 900 customers in North America, including over 50 of the 75 largest non-convenience food retailers.

The Manager of Project Management will play a critical role in advancing the capability and effectiveness of the total TreeHouse supply chain to meet the organization’s growth and productivity targets. This person will be integral in the development of strategies and projects supporting TreeHouse Supply Chain Network Operations. Success will require forging a partnership with all cross functional areas across the company to reinforce and improve upon existing project and program methodologies that meet customer objectives, while creating value for all parties. Successful execution of the “network of the future” will allow TreeHouse to “be the supply chain our customers can’t and won’t live without.”

Position Responsibilities:

By fulfilling the main mission of this role, you will contribute to TreeHouse Foods’ enterprise strategy by delivering shareholder value through commercial and operational excellence.

  • Lead cross functional due diligence teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Business Team, Supply Planning, Procurement, Warehouse/Transportation, and R&D) to determine both strategic and financial viability of network design/optimization concepts.  Present proposed projects for review with Senior Leadership.
  • Oversee the cross functional project teams executing approved projects. Develop detailed execution plan and track performance against overall project deliverables.
  • Develop, implement and track project performance goals.  Communicate progress against deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the SCND Senior Director and other Project Managers to conceptualize, model and communicate common Enterprise Program Management processes
  • Facilitate communications at the management level about issues, performance and recommendations
  • Apply lean manufacturing, warehousing & distribution process improvement strategies where applicable to project initiatives
  • Actively participate in the annual forecasting and budgeting process

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Experience in integrated logistics, manufacturing or a network design related field
  • Solid understanding of best practices in project lifecycle methodology and project management principles
  • Experience supporting complex SKU structure and multi-plant environments preferred
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills; 3 years direct supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership qualities
    • Ability to build teams and influence at all levels of the organization
    • Can act as a mentor/coach and provide opportunities for team members to learn and grow personally and professionally
    • Strong facilitation skills
  • Experience translating business requests into discrete efforts requiring specific technical, functional, and/or operational evaluation
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills
    • Ability to craft clear and convincing presentation materials
    • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint capabilities

  • Experience with Supply Chain Modeling software


 Bachelor’s Degree Required –  MBA preferred

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):

  • 4+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations or procurement leadership at a manufacturing company
    • 2-3 years of experience in CPG
    • 2-3 years leading program management organizations
  • Experience leading cross functional project teams of at least 6 members or more
  • Experience in the analysis of strategic supply chain networks

Ability to travel (Up to 30%)
