SUMMARY: Position exists to manage the replenishment process for of all raw and/or packaging materials to include: review material requirements, issue release orders, expedite shipments, develop replenishment and floor stocking programs with suppliers and support the Procurement Managers in their supplier optimization, quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives. In addition, this position will support the ST Specialty Foods Material Planners for both the Brooklyn Park and Kenosha facilities as follows:
1) Procure indirect plant materials, work w/ staff to ensure regular monitoring of indirect material stock
2) Facilitate the return of defective materials with the vendors. This includes placing the return orders, communicating with the vendor to arrange the return.
3) Run forecasts to analyze months on hand inventories. This information will be presented in obsolete inventory mgmt meetings
4) Compile offline vendor inventories on a weekly basis . This information will be used to submit orders for direct materials.
5) Cross-training in direct material release duties as secondary procurement
6) Daily follow up with vendor and logistics to track down past due POs
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
 Review DSRP generated materials requirements and associated shortage reports.
 Review SAP ME58 requirements, manage CO24 shortages and run ZFCST reports.
 Review existing inventories for accuracy and as a cross-check to DSRP/SAP reports.
 Issue release orders consistent with DSRP/SAP requirements to insure delivery on a timely basis.
 Expedite shipments from suppliers as needed to meet production schedules.
 Work with Production Scheduling to make necessary adjustments to schedules based on availability of supply.
 Work with the Buyers to insure contract information is current.
 Work with suppliers to identify and implement floor stocking, inventory replenishment and consignment opportunities.
 Manage communication on deliveries and supply issues to all stakeholders (i.e. Scheduling, Receiving, Buyers, Production, QA, etc.).
 Attend the Daily Production Communication meeting at 11:00 a.m. and report issues and status.
 Provide analytical support to Buyers for strategic planning.
 Support Buyers in use of SAP and other analytical tools.

 Manage the implementation of EDI and inbound documentation requirements with suppliers.
 Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree preferred and minimum of one to three years of Purchasing/Supply Chain experience. Must be willing to attend Supply Chain continuous education seminars or class work as needed. Previous experience with SAP strongly desired. General knowledge of ERP and Legacy systems. Proficient with Exel/Power Point/Word and Access to include use of pivot tables. Good presentation skills.

REASONING ABILITY: Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
