Position Overview:

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading multi-process operation activities for a 250 plus production employee group.

The Plant Manager is required to comply with all food safety/quality policies and procedures as defined by TreeHouse to include but not limited to; HACCP, cGMP’s, and general housekeeping practices.


  • Manages the following functions: operations, planning/scheduling,  maintenance,  safety, CI, quality, plant finances and HR
  • Oversees and manages the plant operations to produce products that meet quality, cost, volume and service criteria and objectives.
  • Leads and supports the plant’s continuous improvement process.  Utilizes methods and technology as several means of continuous improvement.
  • Determines the resources and skills needed for the production to achieve business objectives.  Encourages and ensures career development and succession planning discussions.
  • Leads operations work environment to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Establishes clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provides performance feedback on a regular basis.  Mentors and develops direct reports in current position for future career growth.
  • Defines and directs compliance with the plant’s policies and procedures.  Contributes to the development of companywide strategic plans.
  • Responsible for the development of a plant budget and capital projects.
  • Responsible for building a strong business partnership within a union facility.
  • Maintains collaborative team relationships between departments as well as division and corporate functions.
  • Participates on division strategic and project teams.


Operations Manager, EH&S Manager, QA Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Engineering and Maintenance Manager report directly to Plant Manager

  • Education
    • BA/BS Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related discipline required.
  • Experience
    • 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing leadership.
    • 5 plus years of demonstrated CI implementation
    • Multi operation and food manufacturing experience a plus.
