Job Description:

This position contributes to the company’s success by serving as a process improvement expert, participating in the design and development of effective, efficient, and controlled processes across Financial Shared Services, then through influence driving change and compliance throughout the organization.


  • Drive continuous improvement strategies for Financial Shared Services with a focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and financial controls.
  • Proactively collaborate with Financial Shared Services Tower Leads and other TreeHouse functional leaders to identify training or system needs and opportunities for improved performance.
  • Communicate effectively formally and informally and develop materials that translate to functional audiences.
  • Influence process behavior changes with stakeholders throughout the company.
  • Lead, organize, and execute assigned projects.
  • Analyze and interpret data and formulate recommendations and solutions as applicable.
  • Support system integration efforts.
  • Analyze operating procedures and policies on an ongoing basis and recommend and implement improvement plans where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency gains, process simplification, and cost improvement opportunities through system usage and/or process change.
  • Perform process analysis using critical thinking, problem solving, research, analytical and presentation skills necessary to identify opportunities, present recommendations, and implement solutions.
  • Develop and participate in Control Action Plans to address any audit findings or process failures.
  • Lead and support projects as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Self-starter with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, continuous improvement mindset and learning agility.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong process knowledge with the ability to identify root causes and champion solutions.
  • Financial acumen to include knowledge and understanding of internal controls (SOX/COSO), US GAAP, and financial shared services processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated track record of accomplishing objectives and meeting deadlines.
  • Creative problem solving abilities required; ability to be resourceful to find solutions, using a “can do” attitude.
  • Strong process and influence skills with a collaborative communication style to effectively drive change, handle conflict, and employ a systematic approach to finding solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Lawson a plus).
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s and CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of previous work experience in accounting, finance, and/or controls (a background in manufacturing and/or food is preferred).
  • Occasional travel required depending on projects
