The Lancaster Ready-to-Eat Cereal Plant, a TreeHouse Private Brands site, is currently looking for a Production Maintenance Technician to join our team.  This is an opportunity to join a recognized and growing company within the food manufacturing industry, where you will have a direct impact on our ability to safely deliver quality products at a competitive cost. Job duties will require the team member to perform all aspects of maintenance on the equipment within their classification to include but not limited to preventative, predictive, emergency, routine, and continuous improvement. Team member must take ownership of the equipment in their assigned area and home function to include but not limited to daily inspections, preventative maintenance, lubrication, repair, continuous improvement and operation.  2nd or 3rd Shift position.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Production Maintenance Team

The following are the basic skills that are required for a team member to be successful in the Production maintenance group.

• Be proficient in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and following up on repairs of all equipment assigned to Production maintenance, especially in their assigned area
• Be proficient at timing, adjusting position, stroke and alignment of all equipment in your area
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in your area
• Ability to use all schematics electrical, mechanical and flow charts to troubleshoot
• Use manufacturer’s literature to make repairs and order parts
• Have an understanding of all burner controls and gas train systems/devices
• Have the ability to make adjustments to gas/air flow metering equipment
• Ability to run equipment for testing following repairs in your area
• Use and understand basic PLC programs of package equipment in your area
• Will calibrate equipment in your area (scales, heat sensors, etc.)
• Will understand and use PC for office applications, E-mail and other maintenance functions such as parts inventory search
• Ability to align sprockets, gears, couplings and other rotating devices
• Ability to rebuild motors, gear boxes, pumps, blowers, fan assemblies and other mechanical equipment

Experience and Skills Requirements

• 3-5 years maintenance manufacturing related experience required
• Experience in industrial, mechanical and electrical skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
• Fluency in English both verbal and written
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
