The Lancaster Ready-to-Eat Cereal Plant, a TreeHouse Private Brands site, is currently looking for a Rolls Operator to join our team.  This is an opportunity to join a recognized and growing company within the food manufacturing industry, where you will have a direct impact on our ability to safely deliver quality products at a competitive cost. We are offering a competitive compensation package for this position, including benefits (health, vision and dental) and 401(k). The preliminary schedule will require working every weekend with two days off during the week. Openings are on 2nd or 3rd shift.

The Rolls Operator is responsible for supporting the rolls department, which is made up of Rolls Operators, Dryer Operators, Frosting Room Operators and Utility Operators. This role will be responsible for running and monitoring equipment for problems and malfunctions, start-ups and shut downs, completing required paperwork, and maintaining proper sanitary conditions in the rolls area.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Rolls Operator

• Monitor rolls for problems and malfunctions; including monitoring and documenting flake thickness and feed rates every two hours
• Start up and shut down rolls
• Complete rolls processing log and all other required documentation
• Maintain an acceptable level of sanitation in the area.

Dryer Operator

• Monitor and maintain dryer and coating drum equipment
• Monitor zone temperatures and belt feeds to maximize product quality
• Complete density measurements every half hour and document accordingly

Frosting Room Operator

• Monitor and maintain the syrup batching system, dryer, coating drum and cooler.
• Batch frosting room syrup
• Clean coating drum as necessary
• Take samples for the Quality Assurance lab

Utility Operator

• Monitor product amounts and product flow
• Maintain an adequate supply of vitamins for frosting room
• Visually check vitamin tank for buildup and clean the system once per shift

Experience and Skills Requirements

• 3-5 years manufacturing related experience required
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
• Fluency in English both verbal and written
