Job Description:

Supervise, train motivate employees and work with teams to meet quality standards, production and company goals, efficiencies and customer satisfaction while maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Oversee the production process looking for ways to improve efficiencies, meeting all production quotas and deadlines. Engage team members on learning and leveraging TMOS tools.

Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriate.  Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.  Administer discipline, corrective action and coaching as needed.  Assist in the resolution of any employee disputes or grievances.   

Enforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures.   Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

Completes production labor schedule by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules to minimize OT; resolving problems; reporting results of the shift production daily.

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and safety environment in the workplace.

Responsible for recognizing, reporting and troubleshooting food safety and/or quality issues.

Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines as needed.

Knowledge of MS Office products.  SAP preferred.  Proficient use of computer programs and software.  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.  Ability to handle multiple competing demands.

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Education:

 High School or equivalent

 High School plus specialized training (min 6mos-2yrs)

 Associate Degree

 Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type:  Business Administration or related field

 Master’s Degree Required -- Type:

 Certification/Licensure Required for Job:

Minimum Experience Preferred (Number of years and type):

Three to five years Supervisory experience; experience in a union environment preferred.  Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment.
