Job Description:

Provide Human Resources leadership to the Supply Chain Organization supporting the Meal Preparation Division.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reports to Vice President Human Resources - Supply Chain
  • Partners with Division Vice President of Supply Chain and Leadership Team to help set the HR strategic agenda and priorities for the Division.
  • Provide direction, leadership and coaching to HR team members with the goal of creating a high performing HR team
  • Drive HR functional excellence throughout the division’s operating units, including improvement planning and best practice sharing
  • Oversee all aspects of HR ranging from recruitment, retention, employee development, employee relations and compliance
  • In partnership with the corporate Labor Relations function, implement Union Free plans in non-union plants, and provide guidance on day to day labor relations/contract administration for bargaining unit plants.
  • Recruit for Plant Manager and above positions, including internally and externally
  • Compile HR related metrics to identify key issues and develop a plan to address opportunities
  • Support Division leadership team with performance reviews, job descriptions, merit  process
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and “walk the talk” on TreeHouse Values
  • Partnering with Corporate HR, evaluate policy effectiveness and implement current policies
  • Lead change management initiatives
  • Conduct employee relations investigations when they are escalated by HR directors or managers or requested by Corporate Labor/Employee relations.  Provide guidance on day to day issues to directors and managers
  • Work with EHS to implement safety best practices and drive a culture of safety
  • Assist in the development and deployment of HR systems & processes
  • Lead the Division Supply Chain HR organization including 3 HR Directors, and 23 manufacturing locations in the U.S. and Canada
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Education & position requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required, Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years progressive HR experience
  • Experience with manufacturing environment; strong employee relations/labor relations background
  • Generalist background with recruiting, performance management, training & development, organizational development
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws
  • Strong judgement and personal credibility

Moderate travel required
