Job Description:

The Sr. Director of Commercial Strategy will have responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the Commercial Excellence strategies related to performance vs. plan (revenue & margin). This role will be accountable for developing and delivering the team’s Annual Operating Plan and aligning Walmart’s key strategic initiatives with Treehouse specific workstreams. This role will champion THS culture & values through their team and communicate customer priorities and issues to their counterparts in the divisional organization. The Sr. Director, Commercial Strategy will provide the highest level of service to Walmart and will provide the leadership critical to the execution and achievement of revenue and profit objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create a customer centric environment by aligning the Customer’s key strategic priorities with internal TreeHouse teams
  • Work closely with and report directly to VP team lead to implement TreeHouse strategies and create customer specific tactics to drive revenue and profit growth; act on behalf of the Commercial VP leader for the customer during applicable  meetings or events
  • Lead the customer strategic team that will support the commercial sales team in delivering key strategic priorities, revenue, and profit goals
  • Leads the creation of the customer Annual Operating Plan including gaining alignment across all key functions
  • Manages all trade funds that cross multiple divisions to deliver the most effective and efficient return on investment
  • Leads the demand forecasting process across all divisions to create a highly accurate and consistent demand signal into our Sales and Operation Planning process
  • Organize corporate staff meetings that will create focus on key priorities, strategies, and process that deliver the team goals
  • Align on communication efforts with the following key stakeholders:
    • CCO Organization- VPs: Communicate and execute THS strategies and customer-specific growth strategies; CBMs: Lead mentorship, check-ins
    • Other THS stakeholders- GMs: Align on customer and category priorities; Div. Communication Planning: Align on forecasting, subject matter expertise

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and knowledge of manufacturing and the food Industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising others
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Possess strategic thinking, leadership, teamwork and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to develop innovative and creative solutions that result in higher profitability; ability to manage complexity in ambiguous situations
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • High comfort level with ambiguity and change
  • Excellent sales and problem solving skills; strong negotiation capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • IRI, SAP- BI experience a plus

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Business, Finance or related field
