Treehouse Foods, Associated Brands- Meals Division is a custom food processor and packager of dry food products for retail private label and contract manufacturing customers.  Our mission is to manufacture and package food products that meet or exceed the quality standards of national brand leaders.  The company will provide superior service and cost effective manufacturing so that our customers (partners) can achieve their marketing objectives.

As a growing and changing company, it is essential that the professional staff be very flexible, capable of performing a variety of functions and be able to adjust to changes.  As a relatively small, integrated and multi-divisional business, it is critical that the staff possesses excellent communication skills.  The incumbent will communicate with peers, subordinates, supervisors, managers, and maintenance.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the effective supervision of 20-50 employees.  The Production Supervisor has direct responsibility for maintaining quality, safety, and production schedules at optimum costs.

The incumbent trains and provides development for employees and instructs them on the safe operation of packaging machinery, maintaining quality, production standards and following good manufacturing practices.

DUTIES:

Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions, and developing personal growth opportunities while adhering to the highest standards of quality, cost control, and following policies and procedures. Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems, identifying process improvements and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation with and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules and resolving problems. Records production by completing daily shift production reports, calculating yields and recoveries. Insures that departmental methods and work habits are performed safely and in accordance with good manufacturing practices. Communicates regularly with peers in the warehouse, mixing and maintenance departments Other duties as assigned All Plant employees are responsible for Plant Safety, SQF, FSMA, Food Safety-HACCP, GMP, Food Quality, Food Defense and Food Fraud. Follow all Plant Safety, SQF, FSMA, Food Safety-HACCP, GMP, Food Quality, Food Defense and Food Fraud policies and programs at all times. Report all Safety, SQF, FSMA, Food Safety-HACCP, GMP, Food Quality, Food Defense and Food Fraud issues-discrepancies immediately

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES:

Requires sound supervisory and organizational skills, good verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.  Ability to accomplish established goals through the efforts of others by motivating, fostering teamwork, resolving conflict, coaching, safety management, production planning, and manufacturing control planning.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Two-year degree and/or five years of supervisory experience required.

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, facility inventory system, SAP, Workday, Kronos
