Job Description:

Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the movement of product/freight on the dock, plant and warehouse area.  All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations, and laws addressing food safety and food quality as well as environmental safety in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Effectively stage and release orders in SAP for to increase warehouse efficiency.
  • Using SAP to setup inbound/outbound delivers so forklift drivers can perform task using VMU.
  • Problem solve inventory, outbound deliveries and PO or STO issues that occur in SAP.
  • Check in drivers using Blue Jay Logistics by appointment time verifying driver’s confirmation number.
  • Frequently stand and walk to seal outbound drivers or verify inbound driver’s seal.  Sitting, using hands to lift or move, reaching with hands and arms.
  • Call employees up for work assignments (loading, receiving, IPIO) without compromising DC operations.
  • Correctly assign doors to inbound, IPIOs’ and outbound deliveries in accordance to location of product.    
  • File paper work in accordance to office procedures.  
  • Work in either a refrigerated or unconditioned environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on all Computer Based Training (CBT)
  • Follow the Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and Code of Ethics.
  • Comprehend and follow verbal instructions, written short correspondence and memos. 
  • Participation in daily, weekly and quarterly inventory and pallet counts, as assigned.
  • Clean and organize area daily.
  • Start and perform daily workload in the absence of a Lead or Supervisor
  • Review warehouse to ensure FIFO is being followed for orders that do not require task to be generated in SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and train other employees in these areas, SAP check in/out drivers, staging orders, inventory issues, OS&D log issues and job assignments.
  • Act as a role model and leader upholding integrity and adherence to policies and procedures
  • Assists supervisor and manager in maintaining records of all products in the SAP material master correctly. 
  • Responsible for First in First Out rotation for all Green Bay plant request.
  • Responsible for security of the warehouse, including, but not limited to, ensure all drivers reporting to the Shipping Warehouse check in and out window and properly checking in/out all guest and vendors. 
  • Support supervisor in daily activities and special projects as assigned.
